The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most scenic trail for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. It offers breathtaking landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and a gradual ascent, making it one of the best routes for acclimatization and high summit success rates. Starting from the western side of the mountain, the route crosses the Shira Plateau before merging with the Machame Route, providing climbers with stunning panoramic views and an immersive trekking experience. The Lemosho Route typically takes 7 to 8 days to complete, making it one of the longer routes but also increasing the chances of successful acclimatization. Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), and after clearing customs and immigration, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your Hotel in Arusha or Moshi. In the evening your guide who will brief you on your upcoming trek and do an equipment check to make sure you have all the necessary mountain gear. The missing gear can be rented on this day.

Day 2 Drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Londorossi Gate, Hike to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Day 3 Hike Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Day 4 Hike Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Day 5 Hike Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Day 6 Hike Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 7 Hike Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Day 8 Hike Barafu Camp to Summit, down to Mweka Camp

Day 9 Hike Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, drive to Moshi
