Tours Overview

The Marangu Route, also known as "The Coca-Cola Route," is the oldest, most established, and only route with hut accommodations on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is considered the easiest path to the summit due to its gradual ascent and direct path, making it a popular choice for first-time climbers. However, its shorter itinerary (5 to 6 days) provides less time for acclimatization, which can affect summit success rates. The Marangu Route approaches the mountain from the southeast, passing through lush rainforests, moorlands, and alpine deserts before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m/19,341ft). Unlike other routes, climbers stay in mountain huts instead of tents, making it an attractive option for those who prefer shelter over camping.
